A Little Bling in Her Step

Cousins Rosemary and Eddie sent Elli these shoes a few months ago, and both Elli and I have been anxiously awaiting the time when she can finally wear them.

Fortunately and unfortunately, Elli's feet seem to be growing at a rate where we can sit and just watch them grow (prompted, of course, by my spending full price on some sandals for her in desparation 6 weeks ago when everything else was falling off her feet). So while her toes begin to creep toward and over the edge of her beloved pink shoes, they are now fitting into the metallic gold penny loafers.

Elli loves the sparkle and shine. Mommy thinks they're hilarious... especially the way Elli tries to walk and admire them at the same time. Daddy is just glad we have shoes that both girls like so we don't have to go out and buy a new pair right now.

What Daddy doesn't know is that this is sure to be the first in a long line of shoe fascinations from his little girl. She won't be able to help it... it's a "nurture" thing for Marino family girls.
