Q: What happens when you pass by an adorable T-shirt that has a little Asian mermaid on it in just Elli's size?
A: You tell yourself that you don't need it, and that it doesn't look all that much like your little water bug, as Elli has slightly curly hair and medium brown eye color, and this mermaid has straight black hair and black eyes. And, after all, it's not like she needs more clothes....
Q: What happens when you see that there is another shirt in the collection -- with an Asian mermaid that has black curly hair and medium brown eyes on it? And that it is pink, Elli's favorite color? And that when you ask Elli what she thinks, instead of losing interest in 1 second and/or failing to pay attention for even that long, she reaches out and grabs it and holds it and starts talking to it?

Yes, it had a matching skirt. I couldn't help myself. Q: Does Elli really like it, or was it just happenstance at the store?
A: Yesterday, I put the outfit downstairs for Elli to get changed into after she had her breakfast. Elli found it before her Aunt could change her outfit, and was carrying it around for a while and kept handing it to her Aunt and looking at her expectantly. And she kept patting her belly all day, which is normally a sign of being very happy. So we have a fashionista in the making....
